Ranch Camp

This camp is for those who want to have a working ranch experience.  Some of the activities include:  feeding and caring for cattle and horses, irrigating, fixing fence, cleaning corrals, and clearing trails in the National Forest.  Our camp is located at the head of the Teton River, with fishing close to camp.  Although the work is hard, we also play hard.  This camp is for young men ages 13 through 17.  Good ranch-type meals provided.

Accommodations:  Wall tents with wood stove, cots

Availability:  6 spaces available per week

**Following are the camps we offer in 2008.  If you have a group of at least 4 people and have specific needs (area, camp, or length of trip), please contact us so we can customize the trip to fit your needs.  (This is on a first come first serve basis.)

North Leigh Canyon Camp

• July 14 – July 18

• July 21 – July 25

Two hundred miles of trails are accessed from our base camp in North Leigh Canyon.  Riders of all levels can explore both the high country and remote backcountry and enjoy majestic views of the peaks and glacial lakes.  After a full day of riding, return to your snug camp and enjoy delicious Dutch oven dinners, a blazing campfire and the camaraderie of new friends.

Cost:  $225 per day + tax

Green Lakes Camp

• July 28 – August 1

• August 11 – August 15

This high altitude base camp, packed in by horse string, is located just off shore of a glacial lake, deep in the back country of the Jedediah Smith Wilderness.  We’ll ride through wildflower-studded meadows, cross mountain passes, and see remote areas of the Grand Tetons.  You’ll enjoy delicious Dutch oven dinners by a blazing campfire.

Cost:  $225 per day + tax

Green Lakes High Altitude Camp – Cowboys and Cowgirls

• August 4 – August 8

Here’s a chance to saddle up with your favorite cowgirl/cowboy and share the high country trails of the Grand Tetons.  Day rides explore the country of Targhee National Forest and the Jedediah Smith wilderness, returning each evening to enjoy Dutch oven cooking, blazing campfires and the camaraderie of friends.

Palisades High Altitude Camp

• August 25 – August 29

This is a progressive camp where we will travel into the Palisade Mountains south of Teton Valley.  At one point we will view Teton Valley, Jackson Valley and Swan Valley at the same time.  We’ll enjoy beautiful upper Palisades Lake, mountain streams, mountain passes and view the rugged mountain canyons.  We’ll end the trip in at the lower Palisades Resevoir near Swan Valley.

Palisades “All Women” Adventure Camp

• September 8 – September 12

Gals, need some time in the quiet of the backcountry??  This is the trip for you.  This is a progressive camp in the Palisade Mountains south of Teton Valley.  You’ll get acquainted with your horse as it carries you through the forest, by beautiful lakes and streams and over mountain passes.  You’ll enjoy the fresh air, peacefulness of nature and the crackling campfire with good food.

Cost:  $225 per day + tax

Ultimate Pack Trip Adventure

• August 18 – August 24

• September 1 – September 7

Exclusively offered by Teton Mountain Ranch.  Join us for a “one-of-a-kind” adventure.  You’ll have the opportunity of starting on the west side of Teton Valley – in the Big Hole Mountains, then in to the Palisade Mountains where we will spend time at beautiful lakes, mountain tops looking across the valley and making our way completely around the south end of Teton Valley.  We’ll then travel into the Jedediah Smith Wilderness where we can look across the Valley from the east.  You’ll be able to view the Grand Teton Mountains and look into Jackson Valley and Grand Teton National Park.  The last night of the trip will be enjoyed at a lodge with full meal accommodations, including hot tub and a one-hour message. Breakfast is included the next morning.

Space:  6 spaces available for each week

Experience:  Experienced riders recommended

Cost:  $500 per day + tax

Drop Camps

If you are camping on your own and don’t want the hassle of carrying in your gear and supplies, we’ll haul it in and haul it out.  If you want to ride, you can do that too.

§  $125 per wrangler per day

§  $60 per horse per day

§  Your gear and supplies will need to be at the Teton Mountain Ranch information center the night before.

Deposit and Final Payment Policies
A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot. The balance is due no later than 45 days prior to the first day of the trip. Personal checks are acceptable.

Cancellation Policy
The deposit is nonrefundable. If you must cancel after having paid the balance, we will refund this money if we, or you, can find a replacement. Otherwise, we will give you credit toward another trip. If Teton Mountain Ranch cancels, we will refund all monies paid.
