Age Requirements
6+ Years Old
Weight Limit
For the safety of our horses and guests, the maximum rider weight is 250 lbs.
Riding Ability
Our rides are designed for all riding abilities, including guests who have never ridden a horse before. Our guides will provide basic instructions before the ride to help everyone feel comfortable.
What should I wear?
All riders must wear closed-toed shoes. Cowboy boots or hiking boots are preferred, but tennis shoes will work as well. Jeans or long pants are strongly recommended for comfort while riding. Dress appropriately for changing mountain weather.
Should we tip our guide?
If you enjoyed your ride then tip your guides! Our wranglers and guides work hard before, during, and after each ride to ensure you have a safe and memorable experience. If you enjoyed your ride, please consider tipping your guide—tips are an important part of how we compensate them for their dedication and long hours.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a light jacket depending on the weather. Each saddle has saddle pockets to put you smaller items in. We do not allow backpacks while riding. Please remember that space is limited, so pack light.
Do we ride in groups?
If you book a shared ride then you may be riding with other guests from all over the world! If you prefer a more private experience than you can select from our private ride options.
How long are the rides?
We work hard to ensure you get the full experience with the appropriate amount of time in the saddle. However, ride locations, rider ability, and the dynamic nature of the wild areas we operate in can change daily—and sometimes even hourly. As a result, saddle time may vary slightly.
Are helmets provided?
Helmets are available upon request. Riders are welcome to bring and wear their own helmet if they prefer.
Are bathrooms available?
Yes. Restrooms are available at the Old Depot Station where we meet before the ride. There are typically no restrooms on the trail, so please plan accordingly.
Can I bring my phone or camera?
Yes, but we recommend using a secure pocket or strap. Horses and uneven terrain can make it easy to drop items.
Can we take photos with the horses?
Absolutely! We’re happy to help guests take photos before, during, and after the ride when time allows.
