Our Approach
Teton Trail Rides operate under the most expansive permits in the Teton Valley. This gives us access to more trails and backcountry than any other outfitter in the area. Because of this, our rides are not pasture rides or flat valley loops, they are true mountain trail rides that climb out of the valley floor and into the surrounding terrain. We welcome riders of all abilities and have intentionally structured our rides to ensure each guest has the best possible experience based on their comfort level and goals. Our top priorities are the safety and enjoyment of our guests, guides, and livestock.
In an effort to best accommodate all of our guests and fully utilize the uniquely expansive opportunities we are permitted, we have structured each day into daily shared rides and private rides.
Daily shared rides are shared experiences designed to welcome riders of all abilities.
Private rides allow us to tailor the experience to your group and access more remote trails.
Large party rides (groups larger than 8) require all of our resources and if booked far enough in advance can be designed to fit your groups needs.

Daily Shared Trail Rides
Our shared trail rides are open to everyone and designed to accommodate all riding abilities, from first-time riders to experienced horsemen who enjoy sharing the trail with others. These rides are a social experience, offering the chance to meet fellow travelers from across the country and around the world while exploring the Teton Valley together.
While beginner-friendly, these rides are also no standard “walk in the park.” The ride climbs out of the valley floor and into the mountains, rewarding riders with sweeping views and an authentic backcountry experience. Our experienced guides set a comfortable pace for the group while ensuring a safe, memorable, and scenic ride for everyone.
Transportation from the Old Train Depot in Victor Idaho to the trailhead and back is included.

Private Trail Rides
Private rides offer the most customized and immersive way to experience the Teton Valley on horseback. Available in all ride lengths, these rides allow us to explore trails and areas of the valley that no other outfitters have access to; a unique advantage made possible by our access to multiple trailheads and extensive permits.
Private rides are tailored specifically to your group’s ages, riding ability, interests, and pace. This approach allows our guides to focus entirely on your group without needing to balance multiple parties or experience levels, making private rides ideal for more experienced riders or for those who prefer to explore the Tetons at their own pace with the privacy of their chosen companions.
For experienced riders, private rides are especially important, as they allow us to access trails and terrain that are not suitable for beginner riders. Whether you’re seeking a private, relaxed ride or a more adventurous day in the saddle, private rides offer unmatched flexibility and personalization.

Large Party Rides
For large party rides, our full focus is on coordination, safety, and creating a seamless and memorable outing. Whether you’re planning a family gathering, corporate group, or special event, we work closely with you to ensure the ride is well-organized and tailored to your group’s needs.
Large party rides are designed for groups larger than 8 riders and must be booked in advance to ensure availability. These rides require additional planning, trucks and trailers, livestock, and crew, allowing us to safely accommodate larger groups while maintaining the quality of the experience.

Looking to incorporate horses into a wedding, private event, or special gathering? We are happy to work with you to create a memorable and unique experience tailored to your event.
Whether you’re envisioning horses for a wedding entrance, engagement photos, family celebration, or a private gathering at your home or venue, we will do our best to accommodate your vision while ensuring the safety and well-being of our livestock and guests.

Where to Meet Us
For all trail rides, we ask that guests meet us 45 Minutes prior to their ride time at the historic Old Depot Station in Victor, Idaho — located at 70 Depot Way, Victor, ID 83455. This is a safe and convenient place to park your car for the duration of your ride. Restrooms are available at the depot, and from there, we’ll provide transportation to the trailhead. If you would like to drive yourself to the trailhead please call ahead of time and we can coordinate the trailhead location with you. We appreciate your punctuality and can’t wait to share the beauty of the Teton Valley with you!
